Mayor Maan Teodoro backs strict curfew enforcement, vows support for police and CPS headquarters expansion
The partnership between the Marikina City Police Station and the city government was reinforced following a New Year’s Call paid by police officials to Marjorie Ann A. Teodoro on January 12, 2026, at Café Kapitan in Barangay Sta. Elena, Marikina City.
The courtesy call was led by Jenny DC Tecson, Chief of Police of the Marikina City Police Station, and aimed to strengthen coordination between law enforcement and the Local Government Unit in maintaining peace, order, and public safety in the city.
In her message, Mayor Teodoro emphasized the strict enforcement of the city’s curfew ordinance, underscoring the need to mobilize force multipliers to ensure sustained and effective implementation. She also reaffirmed the city government’s full support for the plans and programs of the Marikina City Police Station, particularly those related to law enforcement and public safety.
The mayor further expressed her firm commitment to the completion of the Marikina City Police Station Headquarters along Fortune Avenue, Barangay Fortune. She noted that two additional floors may soon be utilized by police personnel even as construction continues on the planned eight-storey facility.
Mayor Maan Teodoro also highlighted the city’s flagship programs supporting police education and continuing professional development, as well as her willingness to provide employment opportunities within the LGU for police personnel nearing retirement, in recognition of their years of dedicated service.
Both the Marikina City Police Station and the city government reiterated their shared goal of keeping Marikina a safe, disciplined, and well-governed city for all residents.
