Marikina CPS mobilizes police, partner agencies, and volunteers to protect public spaces and promote environmental responsibility.

The Marikina City Police Station (CPS), under the Eastern Police District, took the lead in a clean-up activity at the Marikina Water Park in Barangay Jesus Dela Peña, Marikina City, reinforcing the police force’s aggressive commitment to environmental protection, public order, and community partnership. At around 8:00 a.m. on January 17, 2026, personnel of the Marikina CPS, led by PCOL Jenny D.C. Tecson, Officer-in-Charge of Marikina CPS, actively participated in the clean-up drive along the entire stretch of the Marikina Water Park. The activity was initiated by La Liga Mariquina, Inc. and drew strong multi-sectoral support, with participants from BJMP Marikina, the Lions Club of Marikina Valley, and various community volunteers. The initiative aimed to promote environmental awareness, strengthen inter-agency and community cooperation, and instill a shared sense of responsibility in maintaining cleanliness, environmental protection, and public order in one of the city’s key public spaces. Police officials emphasized that the activity highlights the PNP’s proactive and hands-on approach in supporting community-driven programs, beyond law enforcement, as part of its commitment to “Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.” It also served to further strengthen police–community relations and solidify partnerships with civic organizations and other government agencies. The Marikina CPS reiterated that it will continue to actively support initiatives that contribute to a cleaner, safer, and more orderly environment, proving that effective policing goes hand in hand with strong community engagement.
