Mariing itinanggi ni Kap. Dela Cruz ang pamumulitika sa likod ng desisyon. “May prosesong itinatakda ng batas—permit, inspeksyon, at kumpletong scope of work—bago ideklarang bukas ang anumang pasilidad,” diin niya. Paalala ng kapitan, mananagot ang maglalabas ng bayad kung walang malinaw na pahintulot mula sa lungsod, at ang pananagutan ay babagsak sa kanyang kasalukuyang administrasyon.

Belgica: Harassment of Protesters Violates Constitutional Freedoms
Greco Belgica has spoken out against the alleged threats and intimidation being experienced by citizens who are holding peaceful protests against corruption.
According to Belgica, it is deeply troubling that those who march silently and lawfully are the ones being harassed and bullied, instead of those allegedly involved in corrupt practices. He stressed that such actions appear to be deliberate attempts to silence the voice of the people and instill fear to discourage legitimate dissent.
“This is an effort to suppress protest and intimidate those who stand up against corruption,” Belgica said. He emphasized that peaceful assembly and protest are not only rights, but also civic responsibilities guaranteed under the Constitution.
Belgica urged the government to immediately put an end to threats and acts of harassment against protesters and to ensure the protection of freedom of expression. “The real issue is the intimidation of citizens who are simply demanding accountability. This must stop,” he added.
He also called on the public to remain vigilant and united, encouraging peaceful action in the continued pursuit of truth, justice, and clean governance.
