SEN. CAYETANO SHARES DAILY REFLECTIONS AS 2026 BEGINS
Senator Alan Cayetano began 2026 by releasing a series of daily vlogs, using the New Year as an opportunity to emphasize faith, gratitude, and purposeful living.
From January 1 to 3, Cayetano shared reflections on renewal, intentional action, and maintaining hope amid ongoing national and personal challenges. He underscored that the start of a new year does not erase difficulties, but offers a chance to realign one’s values and direction.
On January 1, Cayetano commented on a Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey showing Filipinos remain hopeful for 2026. He said that hope goes beyond statistics and depends on where people anchor it.
“The challenges don't stop just because it's Christmas or New Year. When we look at the SWS survey on how hopeful Filipinos are, I think it’s even deeper than that. In our hearts, all of us are hopeful. The question is how strong that hope is, and where we anchor it,” Cayetano said.
The senator also extended New Year greetings to the people of Mindanao, while acknowledging concerns over funding allocations in the 2026 national budget.
“Happy New Year to the people of Mindanao. I’m praying and continuing to fight for better outcomes for Mindanao, even if the 2026 budget was disappointing in terms of funding. Still, there is always hope,” he added.
Through his daily vlogs, Cayetano encouraged Filipinos to approach 2026 with resilience, reflection, and a clear sense of purpose, despite the challenges that lie ahead.
