MARIKINA POLICE STRIKE HARD: 5 DRUG PUSHERS FALL IN BUY-BUST, ₱27K SHABU SEIZED
Marikina City --- Five suspected drug pushers were arrested in a police buy-bust operation after authorities confiscated approximately four grams of suspected shabu worth ₱27,200 in Barangay Concepcion Uno, Marikina City.
The operation was conducted at around 9:00 p.m. on January 9, 2026, by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the Marikina City Police Station at a residence along Pangilinan Street. The operation resulted in the arrest of three individuals identified as High Value Individuals (HVI) and two listed as Street Level Individuals (SLI).
Police said the five suspects were arrested for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, particularly Sections 5 and 11 covering the sale and possession of illegal drugs.
Seized during the operation were seven sachets of suspected shabu, a red coin purse, six ₱100 bills as confiscated money, and a ₱500 bill used as buy-bust money.
The confiscated drugs will be submitted for laboratory examination at the Eastern Police District Forensic Unit as part of the evidence against the suspects.
After their arrest, the suspects were informed of their constitutional rights before being brought to Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center for physical and medical examination.
The five suspects are currently detained at the custodial facility of the Marikina City Police Station while authorities prepare the necessary documents for inquest proceedings before the Office of the City Prosecutor.
