Government subsidies aim to lower interest rates and make homeownership accessible to Filipinos.

MAGALANG, Pampanga — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., also known as Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. (PBBM), personally visited Pasinaya Homes in Magalang, Pampanga at 9:00 a.m. on April 10, 2026, to inspect the implementation of the government’s flagship housing initiative, for the Filipino (4PH) Program.

Accompanying the President during the visit was Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling, who provided updates on the project’s progress and reiterated its goal of delivering affordable housing to Filipino families.

During the inspection, the Chief Executive examined the facilities and the actual condition of the housing units to ensure quality standards and the proper implementation of the program.

The President also emphasized that the initiative is not a free housing program. Instead, the government assists approved beneficiaries by lowering interest rates on housing loans, including those obtained through private financing institutions, to ease their monthly amortizations. He clarified that the 4PH Program provides subsidies—particularly in interest rates—to make homeownership more accessible and affordable.

President Marcos reaffirmed his administration’s commitment under the “Bagong Pilipinas” vision to ensure decent, safe, and affordable housing for every Filipino family.
