"The barangay is safe and in good hands"-Kap. Ely Dela Cuz

Ely Dela Cruz, Barangay Captain of Barangay Rosario, highlighted the barangay’s sound financial management after revealing that ₱48 million in funds were accumulated and carefully safeguarded under his administration.

In his message to barangay officials and residents, Kap. Dela Cruz thanked the Sangguniang Barangay for approving the 60-day suspension, which he said served as proof of transparency and proper governance. Despite the challenges faced, he noted that the barangay earned the Seal of Good Local Governance of Barangay for 2024, and based on a report released in September 2025, no single case was recorded against Barangay Rosario.

The barangay captain also underscored prudent fiscal management, pointing out that from a budget of more than ₱100 million, the ₱48 million fund remains intact and well-maintained—nearly half of the total budget. According to him, this reflects responsible and careful handling of public funds entrusted to the barangay.

“We don’t just aim to grow the fund; we make sure it is protected because of the heavy responsibility that comes with it,” Dela Cruz stressed. “This shows that the barangay trusted us, and we honored that trust.”

In closing, Kap. Dela Cruz assured residents that he will continue to deliver honest and dedicated service for the remaining months of his term, especially with the elections approaching. “The barangay is safe and in good hands,” he concluded.
